Recanati: a true gem in the hearth of the Marche region, the land of that fabulous young man Giacomo Leopardi, who made eternal its palaces, alleys and squares. Nowadays, visiting the historic centre, you can still breath the poetry walking in the footsteps of the poet. Among the streets of the historic centre you'll find Palazzo Leopardi , the Casa natale di Giacomo  (birthplace of Giacomo) and home of his family since the 13th century. You will discover the library, largely curated by Monaldo, Giacomo's father, and made up of an extraordinary collection of books with about twenty thousand volumes.
Besides the Museum, dedicated to Giacomo Leopardi, there are the the Historical Cellars and, just in front of the palace, the Ancient Stables with the House of Silvia on the first floor.

Imagine that lonely sparrow wandering in the countryside and resting on the façade of San Vito Church. Even if the clock strikes of the Torre del Borgo (Tower of the village) will have a magic sound. The same tower is mentioned in some verses of "Le Ricordanze"(The remembrance) and it houses the Museum dedicated to Recanati (MUREC).
