If you lend an ear walking through the historic centre, you will feel like going back in time and hearing the voice of the little Beniamino Gigli, who already sang his notes to everyone from the bell tower of the Cathedral. In Recanati and his most beloved place, where he was born and grew up, he perfected his skill with tenacity and sacrifice until he ventured into the world of opera working on the most famous stages in the world. Since then his voice has resounded  in the town where the tenor would occasionally return to greet his old friends who asked him "Come on! Sing us something Beniamì!".

Recanati, the town of music, is enriched by a prestigious theatre, built by the will of Monaldo Leopardi, dedicated to the composer Giuseppe Persiani who was also born in Recanati. Inside the theatre, at the third level of balconies, precisely in the "Sala dei Trenta" (the room of the thirty), there's the Museo Beniamino Gigli (Beniamino Gigli museum), a small jewel dedicated to the great tenor of Recanati, who has become famous all over the world. Among the unforgettable songs written for him we can't forget the famous "Mamma" (Mother). Entering the world of Beniamino Gigli in the "Sala dei Trenta" of the Persiani Theatre, means joining and discovering the world of opera through the costumes, objects, memorabilia, photographs, letters and documents of the precious collection showed.
The Beniamino Gigli museum is part of the Infinito Recanati museum network.
