A moving letter written by Giacomo to his father Monaldo is kept inside the section of the Civic Museum Villa Colloredo Mels dedicated to Giacomo Leopardi ?

The letter dates back to 1833 and it is special because the poet uses a very confidential and affectionate vocative, "Papa mio" (my dear Father), very unusual in the written letters, and describes the difficult health condition he had experienced in previous weeks, after being struck by a serious eye infection.
